Floods cause displacement and disruption

High intensity rainfall in Indonesia has triggered severe flooding events across fifteen regions in the past week. As a result of the flooding, one death and 1,800 people were reported displaced as of last week.

With further heavy rainfall forecasted (6,7), it is probable that there will be an increased risk of ongoing flooding with subsequent further displacement of vulnerable groups and damage to property.
